UNICDA formally closes its diploma course in Project Formulation, Analysis, Evaluation and Management

Within the framework of the project for capacity building in public administration for the construction of climate resilience in key sectors and services for the population, the closing of the Diploma in Project Formulation, Analysis, Evaluation and Management was held. This program was coordinated by the Consejo Nacional para el Cambio Climático y Mecanismo de Desarrollo Limpio (CNCCMDL) along with the Ministerio de Economía, Planificación y Desarrollo (MEPyD), and was sponsored by the Agencia Española de Cooperación Internacional para el Desarrollo (AECID). The Universidad Domínico Americano (UNICDA) was responsible for delivering the program to a cohort of 30 participants from more than 10 public and private sector institutions who received 140 hours of training in project design and management skills.

The closing ceremony was presided over by Mr. Max Puig, Vice President of the Consejo Nacional para el Cambio Climático y Mecanismos de Desarrollo Limpio, together with Ms. Clara Aquino, Director General of Bilateral Cooperation of the Ministerio de Economía, Planificación y Desarrollo. They were also accompanied by Mr. Esteban López, Program Manager for the Agencia Española de Cooperación Internacional para el Desarrollo; Mr. Alan Ramírez, Technical Director of the Consejo Nacional para el Cambio Climático and Mr. Ramón Sosa, Chancellor of the Universidad Domínico Americano, host entity and responsible for the execution of the program.

Among the entities whose personnel received training are the Ministerio de Energía y Minas, Ministerio de Industria, Comercio y Mipymes (MICM), Ministerio de Medio Ambiente y Recursos Naturales, Ministerio de Salud Pública, Ministerio de Economía Planificación y Desarrollo (MEPyD) and Ministerio de Relaciones Exteriores (MIREX), as well as the Central Bank, Fundación Propagas, EcoRED, Banco Popular Dominicano, Comisión Nacional de Energía, Fundación Sur Futuro, Argos, Participación Ciudadana and the CNCCMDL.
