Showroom – Art Gallery
The Cultural Division has an imposing showroom or art gallery, located in the Administrative Building.  It is acknowledged as an excellent space, some 233.37 square meters, completely equipped with state-of-the arts lighting systems and high-quality acoustics; it has special panels in order to attain the most diverse and high-quality professional installations of pictures, sculpture and art in general.
Cultural Showrooms
These are areas meant for holding business seminars, courses, exhibits of new talent with reliable artistic projection, presentations, and auditions for music schools, as well as the most varied educational and cultural activities.
Patrick N. Hughson Auditorium
The Patrick N. Hughson is situated within the Cultural Complex of the ICDA at the corner of Abraham Lincoln Avenue and Correa y Cidrón; it projects a vast spectrum of activities that include the most varied presentations, both our own and rented by our users at reasonable rates, with the satisfaction of enjoying a natural atmosphere and a safe environment.
The Auditorium of the Domínico-Americano has a magnificent stage, 40 meters by 20 meters, the perfect dimensions for plays or for professional or amateur ballet.
The Auditorium is a complete theater, with wall-to-wall carpeting.  It can holdf 300 people, in cushioned seats with side tables.
It has modern equipment for lights, sounds, an electrically-closing curtain, dressing rooms, rest rooms, and the professional support services in cabin services and stage machinery.
Equipment for audiovisual projections, the services of an electrical generator with automatic transfer, central air conditioning and a parking lot, complete the area.

The Front and Spanish Patios are two magnificent places that are rented for the celebration of receptions, refreshments, toasts and coffee breaks during events.
Those who use our facilities can enjoy these options for carrying out their activities, at a place with beautiful interior gardens, that is centrally located, easy to reach and has permanent security.
The Cultural Director 
The Cultural Division is under Dr. Amarilis Rodríguez de Durán.
Well-know actress and director of the Dominican theater, a member of the Compañía Nacional del Teatro de Bellas Artes (National Company of the Fine Arts Theater), graduated in International Law and Diplomacy, she holds a Master’s degree in Marketing from the Pontificia Universidad Católica Madre y Maestra. (Madre y Maestra Pontifical Catholic University).
She is part of the “Gallery of Dominican Theater” of the Teatro Nacional Eduardo Brito (Eduardo Brito National Theater).  She has received awards as Actress and Theater Director on several occasions with the “Casandra” (Cassandra), “Dorado” (Golden), and “Talía de Plata” (Silver Talía) prizes, and was recognized as one of the “Most Distinguished Dominican Actresses” by the Banco Central Dominicano (Central Bank of the Dominican Republic).
She has an impressive career and has held different jobs.  Ms. Rodriguez has worked at the ICDA for 20 years, where she has been employed since 1990 and held the position of  Cultural Director since 1991.
Years before, she was sub-director of the Cultural Division of the Ministry of Foreign Relations, and Secretary of Education and of the UNESCO National Committee.
She has also carried out an impressive job as a university professor; she was for several years Professor and Director of the School of Diplomacy at the Universidad Católica de Santo Domingo, UCAD (Catholic University of Santo Domingo); professor at APEC University, at the Universidad de la Tercera Edad (University of the Third Age), where she has directed the Grupo Teatro UTE since 1995; professor at the Universidad Domínico-Americana, UNICDA; as well as at the Pontificia Universidad Católica Madre y Maestra, PUCMM.
During her professional career, she has successfully staged several presentations through her Theater Company, “Producciones Amarilis Rodríguez” (Amarilis Rodríguez Productions), as well as children’s presentations through her television program “Amarilis con los Niños” (Amarilis with the Children).
She is married to Lic. Tomás Durán Piña, well-known marketing expert in the area of pharmaceuticals, with who she had her children Deniel Omar and Dashiel Amarilis Durán Rodriguez.
