UNICDA –Curricula and levels of English

Bachelor’s degree, mention Arts

The Bachelor’s Degree with a mention in the arts is the program for the person who paints, models, sculpts dances, plays an instrument, composes, acts or gesticulates, and who “thinks” with his imagination. Besides, since art is a specifically human activity, it contributes toward a greater humanization of the person. The program offers the student the opportunity for greater esthetic growth, to acquire the sensibility of the cultural atmosphere, develop his vocation as a teacher, value the cultural patrimony of the country and of the civilization, thus receiving an extensive artistic formation which allows him to handle specialized themes, works, practices and other co-curricular activities that may be necessary to his overall development. It serves the persons who desire to be involved in the educational process of the country, being avid of general artistic knowledge, and who wish to cultivate their spirit, and value life from an esthetic and artistic point of view.

The Graduate will possess the skills and techniques of a teacher, and knowledge of art education. He will also know about different artistic and cultural manifestations, he will have studied music, dance, the theater, and painting, so that as a graduate he/she will be able to share and value, as an individual and collectively, spiritual wealth. His capacity to perceive the surroundings will have awakened, integrating it to the world of forms, colors, sounds, images, gestures, and movements, within a visual and auditory frame that is stimulating to develop his sensibility, esthetics, creative capacity, research capacity, and his critical sense.

He will be able to work as a teacher at private and public bilingual schools; at agencies for academic advising; English language institutes; as personnel of the Secretaría de Estado de Educación (SEE); as an English teacher for private students in elementary school.

The curriculum is made up of an integrated series of:
