Pre-School
education meets with a very important pedagogical
and social function, and constitutes the preparation
to enter primary school. The innovation presented
by the Pre-School Program at UNICDA is that said career
is taught in English, and by doing so we hope to forma
teachers who are able to teach pre-school in English.
UNICDA trains teachers in up-to-date teaching techniques,
with high- quality teaching and according to the social
and civic realities of the future; we apply the evaluation
techniques of the teaching-learning process to the
pre-school level.
The
graduate will know the basic fundamentals
of education, especially those having to do with pre-school.
He will have knowledge of the teaching techniques
of the pre-school level – mastery of the knowledge
specific to the intellectual, emotional, and physical
development of the child until he reaches the age
of 6. He will have specific knowledge of the pedagogical
trends, as well as methodology and general knowledge
of the different areas of the social sciences and
natural sciences, of the different cultures, in particular
Dominican and American culture. He will be able to
act in an innovative manner, when faced by the teaching
demands of the environment that surrounds him.
They
will be able to work as teachers in a bilingual
Pre-School, in both the public and in the private
sector. They will also be able to work in schools
and in institutes for the teaching of English to Pre-School
children, teach private classes to those children,
or decide in favor of a technical or administrative
position in education, whether it be in the public
or the private sector.
