work with a model integrated curriculum that is centered
on the child, promoting the development of all the areas
through activities that encourage experiences, particularly
active ones, in a real and concrete surrounding.
Evaluations
For the Pre-Escolar Domínico-Americano, evaluation
is a critical reflection of the components that have an
effect on the educational process in order to make the
necessary decisions to ameliorate it. Evaluation at the
Pre-Escolar Domínico-Americano is characterized
by being an overall, continuous, participatory, cooperative,
and flexible process. Its function is to determine the
capacities and limitations of each child, at one stage
of his/her development, and so to continue accompanying
and bettering him/her. Our evaluation guide in the child’s
development establishes itself as a means that informs
us and allows us to identify the process of learning and
development of each child. It also reflects the rhythm
at which learning occurs. This guide is organized taking
into account the different aspects of the human being:
The socio-emotional, cognitive, expressive, and communicative.
• Evaluations will be handed in three times during
the school year, at the parents’ and teachers meetings.
• The Pre-School Coordinator’s office will
be happy to give you additional information.
• All evaluations must be signed and returned to
the teacher.
