Lic.
Orlando Rodríguez González graduated as a Certified
Public Accountant from Apec University – UNAPEC – in 1985. He
has done studies of professional updating in the field of accounting and
auditing. He has participated in seminars about the Operation of Administration,
Total Quality, Strategic Planning, Project Managing, as well as doing a
specialization in computers at the IBM Training Center.
He entered the ICDA in February of 1992 as Assistant to the Director of Finance and Operations. In August of 1993, he became Coordinator of the Executive Unit of the ICDA-BID-FUNDAPEC Project for the construction of the building to house the classrooms and offices of the Escuela Técnica Superior. As of May of 1999, he was designated Director of the Administrative Services Division.
He has worked at the Fundación Dominicana de Desarrollo in the area of Accounting and Internal Auditing, as well as at the Centro Apec de Educación a Distancia in the fields of Accounting, Internal Auditing and Systems. He has been an administrative counselor and in the implementation of the systems of the Sociedad Dominicana de Bibliófilos and at the Liga Dominicana Contra el Cáncer.
Lic. Rodríguez is a member of the Instituto de Contadores Públicos Autorizados de la República Dominicana, and of the Instituto de Auditores Internos de la República. He was born in the province of La Vega, and is married to Mrs. Ana Mercedes Cunillera, with whom he has two sons, Jorge and Omar.
